 Abstract

This publication written is the English and Polish language contains definitions of basic terms used in the field of metal matrix composite materials and indexes of these concepts. The presented definitions are not of an encyclopedic and strictly scientific character, but serve to outline the meaning and clarify the scope of use, when based on the terminology commonly and generally adopted in the field of metal matrix composites. The publication was issued under the auspices of the Commission on Cast Composites of the World Foundry Organization and the Composite Materials Section, Committee on Materials Science, Polish Academy of Sciences.
