On May 12, 2026, we had the pleasure of participating in the 35th anniversary celebrations of the St. Jude Foundation for Cardiac Surgery Development. prof. The event was held at the Zbigniew Religa Bathhouse of the Coal Mining Museum in Zabrze. This special event was an opportunity to summarize more than three decades of the Foundation’s activities for the development of cardiac surgery and medical innovation,
and also to meet its partners and friends.
Lukasiewicz – Krakow Institute of Technology was represented by Dr. Michal Bachorz, Deputy Director for Research, who participated in the celebration and accompanying discussions on the future of medicine and technology.
The event program included an expert panel entitled. “Special Mission – Heart.
The Legacy of Prof. Zbigniew Religa and the Challenges of the Future,” an exhibition of paintings by Katarzyna Korus “The Heart,” and a performance by the Stanisław Hadyna Song and Dance Ensemble “Śląsk”. During the anniversary, the Foundation’s latest project – an innovative medical trailer – was also presented.
