History
Lukasiewicz – Kraków Institute of Technology combines the competencies of organizations, each of which has operated on the Polish market for several decades: the Foundry Institute, the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies and the Institute of Medical Technology and Apparatus.
1946
The founding year of the Foundry Institute
1949
The founding year of the Institute of Machine Tools and Tooling, since 1960 the Institute of Machining (IOS), since 2005 as the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology.
1969
The year of the founding of the Silesian Center for Medical Technology, since 1977 as the Research and Development Center for Electronic Medical Equipment, since 1995 as the Institute of Medical Technology and Equipment.
2019
Establishment of the Lukasiewicz Research Network -Institutes become part of one of the largest European research networks
2020
Merger of Łukasiewicz - Foundry Institute and Łukasiewicz - Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies - formation of Łukasiewicz - KIT
