Additional qualifications for the position of the research division in the Łukasiewicz Research Network.

Employment in the research division of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Krakow Institute of Technology is based on the qualifications specified in the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of March 27, 2019, and additional qualifications specified by the Institute’s Director, in accordance with the guidelines of the Łukasiewicz Center, in Order No. 6 of the Institute’s Director of February 17, 2026.

1. RESEARCH DIVISION AREA LEADER

Education: Ph.D. and 5 years of experience in research and development, including independent research project management.

  • Knowledge of English or another modern language at a communicative level (B2/C1).
  • Meeting at least 4 of the additional criteria:
  1. Organization or co-organization of at least one international scientific or industry conference and active participation in at least 4 national or international scientific/industry conferences as a speaker, panelist, or expert,
  2. Participation in at least 4 research and development projects (including projects financed from subsidies, grants, and commissioned tasks) as an active team member and experience in leading a research team in at least 1 project financed from external domestic or foreign funds,
  3. Experience in implementing or collaborating with the business sector in the commercialization of research results,
  4. Authorship or co-authorship of scientific publications (at least 4 scored publications, including at least 1 on the SCOPUS TOP10% list), industry reports, or analyses relevant to the Institute’s research directions,
  5. Obtaining a national or international research scholarship (e.g., NAWA, Fulbright, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, ERC, NCN),
  6. At least Two awards or distinctions for research (e.g., institutional or industry awards, scholarships for young scientists, awards in scientific competitions),
  7. Membership in at least two national or international scientific organizations, committees, or expert teams,
  8. Experience in mentoring or conducting specialized training for students, PhD candidates, or other research team members.

2. CHIEF RESEARCH SPECIALIST

  • Education: Ph.D. and two years of experience in the research and development sector, or a master’s degree and three years of experience in the research and development sector, including participation in research projects.
  • Communicative knowledge of English or another modern language (minimum B2/C1).
  • Meeting at least 3 of the additional criteria:
  1. Participation in the organization of at least one scientific or industry conference and active participation in at least 3 international conferences (e.g., presentation, poster, discussion panel),
  2. Participation in at least 2 research and development projects (including projects financed by subsidies, grants, and commissioned tasks) as an active team member, including at least 1 project financed by external domestic or foreign funds,
  3. Experience in collaborating with the business sector in implementing research results, e.g., active participation in commercialization projects,
  4. Authorship or co-authorship of scientific publications (at least 3 publications with a ranking, including at least 1 on the SCOPUS TOP10% list),
  5. Receipt of a national or international research scholarship (e.g., NAWA, Fulbright, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, ERC, NCN),
  6. At least 1 award or distinction for scientific research (e.g., institutional or industry awards, scholarships for young researchers) scientists, awards in scientific
    competitions),
  7. Membership in at least one national or international scientific organization, committee, or expert team.

3. SENIOR RESEARCH SPECIALIST

  • Education: Master’s degree and 2 years of experience in the research and development sector.
  • Communicative knowledge of English or another modern language (minimum B1/B2).
  • Meeting at least two of the additional criteria: 
  1. Active participation in at least two scientific or industry conferences with a national scope (e.g., presentation, poster, participation in a discussion panel),
  2. Experience in implementing research and development projects (including projects financed by subsidies, grants, and commissioned tasks), e.g., participation in at least two R&D projects, including documented independent performance of some of the
    work,
  3. Collaboration with the business sector in implementing research results, e.g., active participation in projects aimed at commercialization,
  4. Authorship or co-authorship of scientific publications (at least; three scored publications, including at least one on the SCOPUS TOP10% list); two industry reports, or two analyses relevant to the development of the Institute’s research directions.

4. RESEARCH SPECIALIST

  • Education: Master’s degree or higher and one year of experience in the research and development sector.
  • Knowledge of English or another modern language at a communicative level (minimum B1).
  • Meeting at least one of the following additional criteria:
  1.  Active participation in at least one scientific or industry conference with a national scope (e.g., poster, presentation, discussion panel),
  2. Participation in at least two specialized training courses,
  3. Experience in implementing research and development projects (including projects financed by subsidies, grants, and commissioned tasks), e.g., participation in an R&D project as a team member,
  4. Active participation in projects related to the implementation of research results or collaboration with the economic sector,
  5. Authorship or co-authorship of at least one scientific publication, industry report, or analysis relevant to the Institute’s research directions.

5. JUNIOR RESEARCH SPECIALIST

  • Education: Higher education, secondary education and 5 years of experience in the research and development sector, or secondary industry education and 5
    years of experience in the research and development sector.
  • Knowledge of English or another modern language at a communicative level (minimum A2).
  • Meeting at least one of the following additional criteria:
  1. Participation in at least one scientific or industry conference, or specialized training course,
  2. Experience in implementing research and development activities, e.g., participation in an R&D project (including projects financed by subsidies, grants, and commissioned tasks), collaboration on analyses, reports, or technical studies,
  3. Authorship or co-authorship of at least one scientific or popular science publication, industry reports, or analyses for entities in the socio-economic environment.
