M-TES meeting at Łukasiewicz – Krakow Institute of Technology
Another meeting was held on March 25-26 at Łukasiewicz – Krakowski Instytut Technologiczny as part of the”M -TES: Metallic phase change material composites for Thermal Energy management”.
At the meeting, the Director of Łukasiewicz – KIT, dr hab. Katarzyna M. Marzec, welcomed the guests and gave an overview of the Institute’s activities. The team of researchers then discussed the agenda items and presented the results of their work from the past six months. Foreign researchers Elisabetta Gariboldi, Prof. (project leader), Andrea Lucchin (innovation manager), Monica Favaro, PhD (portfolio manager) and Donatella Giuranno, PhD (communication manager) shared updates on both administrative and research activities.
From the Łukasiewicz – KIT, the meeting was attended by: Wojciech Polkowski, EngD (project manager on the Łuksiewicz – KIT side), Aleksandra B., Grzegorz Bruzda, Filip Kateusz, Artur Kudyba, EngD, Adelajda Polkowska, EngD and Rafał Nowak, EngD.
The group of foreign scientists visited the Center for Materials and Manufacturing Technologies laboratories at Łukasiewicz – KIT. This was a great opportunity to exchange research experiences.
The focus of M-TES project is to develop new material solutions for low-temperature thermal energy storage systems.
The project is led by Politecnico di Milano in Italy and has partners including Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR – Institute of Condensed Matter Chemistry and Technologies in Italy), Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg in Germany, and Łukasiewicz – Krakow Institute of Technology.
M-TES project is funded by the European Union under grant agreement 101115307 within HORIZON-EIC Pathfinder action. The project has a duration of 36 months and a total budget of €2.3 million.
